Tuesday

14 year old girl

Tonight I will be playing the part of a 14 year old girl as I will be babysitting for money as my friends go to a concert. I will be watching 2 young girls and putting them to bed. My friend said I could bring a friend over if I wanted to, but I think I will be okay by myself. We'll see how it goes and if I forgot any tricks kids play on sitter.

Monday

Making cake with Mya

Christian called and said he wanted a baseball cake for his birthday, so I made one for him. I had help from Mya.
She was the icing taste tester.Nothing went on the cake before it was tasted by her.

It was a great day for a birthday, and Christian loved the cake. Happy 9th Birthday!

Lunch with Aunt Karen

I went over to see Aunt Karen and to have lunch with her. I brought Mom and Mya, and she had Kristin, Molly, Laura, and Brady there too. It was a full house, but tons of fun! We made BLT's, had veggies and dip, chips, and Coconut Bars for dessert. (http://www.dreyers.com/brand/fruitbars/flavor.asp?b=136&f=2155)

Below is Brady and me enjoying my coconut bar. He was excited because he got two ice creams.
Then Brady took my camera and did some of his own work.
Mya was enjoying playing in the sun.
The girls were playing baseball while Aunt Karen and Mom watched.

It was so much fun, can't wait to do it again!

Reading Club

Or should I call it the "listening to it on tape" club. Anyway, our book was "Me Talk Pretty One Day" by David Saderis. It is a great book if you are looking for something to make you laugh. We all brought French food. I brought chocolate croissants that are co easy to make. This is all you need:
Unroll the dough, crush the chocolate and place it inside. Roll them up and cook as described on the container.
This is a great chocolate croissant wine! :)
This is the finished product, very yummy!
I took Kara Sunflowers as a hostess gift, I hope she enjoyed them!
All in all it was a lot of fun! I cannot wait until next month to discuss "The Help."
